Extending Workplace Well-Being to the Family

Orient Semiconductor Electronics (OSE) continues to promote a family-friendly workplace by partnering with 7-ELEVEN to host a “Little Store Manager Experience” activity. Employees were invited to bring their children to the corporate campus for an engaging experience combining workplace exploration and family learning. Through the activity, children had the opportunity to learn more about their parents’ work environment while enjoying meaningful time together as a family.

Experience × Learning × Co-creation | Stepping into the Role of a Little Store Manager

At the event, children put on specially designed mini convenience-store uniforms and stepped into the role of “Little Store Managers,” gaining hands-on experience with different aspects of store operations. The activity featured three experiential sessions, encouraging children to move from observation to hands-on participation while developing learning and teamwork skills through play and interaction.

• Store Experience: From product displays and restocking to checkout operations, children experienced the basic processes of store operations and gained an understanding of the details behind customer service.

• Storybook Reading: Through engaging stories and scenarios, children were guided to explore the meaning of communication, responsibility, and service.

• Creative DIY: Using a specially designed 55th-anniversary template as the theme, this activity allowed children to freely explore colors and their imagination to illustrate their vibrant blessings.

From the anticipation of putting on the uniform to the sense of accomplishment upon completing their tasks, the children learned responsibility and built confidence through various attempts and interactions. The finished artworks are also displayed in the company's hallways as part of the 55th-anniversary celebration, allowing the children's creativity and well-wishes to accompany every employee, creating warm and cherished memories together.

Listening to Employees｜Seeing a Different Side of Each Other Through Everyday Work

For many employees, work and family each involve different roles and responsibilities. This activity created a meaningful opportunity for the two sides of their lives to come together. One participating employee shared, “Balancing work and family can be challenging, so having the opportunity to bring my child to a company event was a rare and heartwarming experience.”

As children stepped into the workplace familiar to their parents, the experience also gave families a new topic to share and discuss. For the company, listening to employees and understanding the needs of families at different stages of life is an important part of continuously enhancing the workplace experience.
