Low-Carbon Sustainable Supply Chain

OSE Partners with Suppliers to Build a Low-Carbon Sustainable Supply Chain Through Corporate Mentorship

Orient Semiconductor Electronics (OSE) deeply understands that corporate sustainable development is not only its own responsibility but also a commitment to drive collective change among its partners. Facing the global trend of net-zero carbon emissions and the challenges of international compliance, OSE has proactively leveraged its influence to officially launch the "OSE ESG Workshop". Through sincere partnership and experience sharing, OSE aims to support supply chain partners in building the necessary capacity for transition, joining the low-carbon and sustainable movement together.

For OSE, sustainable development is a shared endeavor with supply chain partners rather than just an internal responsibility. To assist suppliers in establishing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory capabilities, the OSE team provided standardized tools, forms, and operational guidelines during the workshop. Through practical explanations and operational guidance, OSE helped partners build their processes from basic data collection to establishing an inventory workflow, enabling them to gradually master carbon management methods. By fostering capacity building and sharing experiences, OSE hopes to help supplier partners overcome the anxiety of not knowing where to start, jointly addressing the challenges of the future low-carbon transition.

Starting with Experience Sharing, Launching Sustainable Actions Alongside Supplier Partners

Given the professional knowledge and inventory operational requirements needed for carbon management, some small and medium-sized enterprise supplier partners lack relevant experience and resources during the initial implementation phase. To address this, we specially invited 10 key supplier partner companies (spanning the EMS and IC industries) to participate in this workshop. The OSE team shared its practical experience in promoting GHG inventories. The workshop progressed step-by-step through "Concept Establishment → Form Breakdown → Scenario Simulation → Action Planning" and provided practical calculation tools that participants could take back to their companies for direct use. This significantly lowered the entry barrier for carbon management, allowing partners to take the crucial first step with confidence and a solid foundation. We believe that the sustainable development of the supply chain requires the joint participation of all partners. Therefore, in addition to conveying management requirements, we also aim to share our experiences, supporting suppliers as they gradually implement carbon management initiatives and grow together on the path of low-carbon transition.

Rooted in Practice, Connecting Globally: Consolidating the Supply Chain's Collective Impact

Through a two-day course filled with interactive and practical exercises, participating partners have clearly mastered five core processes: equipment inventory, data retrieval, coefficient application, unit conversion, and inventory report generation, equipping them with the practical ability to independently promote and pilot these processes back at their companies.

Using the tools and forms provided after the course, suppliers can further conduct independent calculations and inventory operations. Building these capabilities not only helps meet customer requirements and supply chain management needs but also lays a solid foundation for aligning with international standards such as CDP Carbon Disclosure, the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct, and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) in the future.

United in Purpose: Working Together to Create a Green and Sustainable Future

OSE consistently upholds its four core values of "Integrity, Innovation, Proactiveness, and Empathy," embedding sustainable concepts into corporate operations and supply chain management. Looking ahead, OSE will continue to deepen its partnerships with suppliers through experience exchange, capacity building, and resource sharing. Facing the low-carbon transition and international sustainability trends, OSE will move forward united with its supply chain partners. Together, we will build a low-carbon, sustainable supply chain that is resilient, meets customer expectations, and aligns with international carbon reduction trends, creating long-term value for the sustainable development of the industry!
