OSE Partners with NUK to Launch the “Semiconductor Assembly and Testing Program,” Featuring Employment-Start Scholarships to Cultivate Talent

Strengthening Industry–Academia Collaboration to Build a Talent Pipeline for Semiconductor Assembly and Testing in Southern Taiwan

To enhance industry–academia collaboration in Southern Taiwan and cultivate the next generation of assembly and testing professionals, OSE has officially signed a cooperation agreement with National University of Kaohsiung (NUK), located at the core of the region’s semiconductor S‑corridor. Together, the two parties are launching the “Semiconductor Assembly and Testing Program.”

“Semiconductor Assembly and Testing Program.” The program integrates Guaranteed Interviews and an Employment‑Start Scholarship, aligning academic learning with industry practice. Through this joint education model, students can build a strong technical foundation during their studies and seamlessly transition into the workforce after graduation, becoming a new driving force in Southern Taiwan’s semiconductor industry.

Mastering Key Assembly and Testing Processes to Strengthen Job‑Ready Skills

Assembly and testing represent the final mile for a chip to enter the real world, and they serve as the critical bridge between chips and systems. Even the most advanced chips must undergo high‑quality assembly and testing to operate reliably. We aim for students to witness the complete lifecycle of a chip—from manufacturing and packaging to productization—and understand the value of each key step within the supply chain.

As a leading assembly and testing company in Southern Taiwan, OSE is partnering with NUK to help students gain deeper insight into how semiconductors power the world and to support a smooth transition to industry needs upon graduation.

We will also continue promoting internship and pre‑employment programs, enabling young talent to build hands‑on experience early and strengthen their job‑ready capabilities.

Commitment to Sustainability: Supporting Talent Development through Corporate Strength

In 2025, OSE reported revenues of NT$19.683 billion. The company has actively promoted green manufacturing, purchasing 11.566 million kWh of green electricity last year to achieve significant carbon reduction. These efforts have earned OSE the TSAA (Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards) and the PwC Sustainability Impact Awards, demonstrating its commitment to both technological innovation and ESG advancement.

Through this partnership with NUK, OSE not only strengthens industry‑academia collaboration but also continues its dedicated efforts toward“Talent Sustainability.”
